As a young woman trying to figure out the world and her place in it, Anna uses painting as a way both to process life experiences and to highlight the beauty she finds in the world. Deeply inspired by the land of her youth—lush, untamed nature of rural Hawai’i—Anna draws imagery from her surroundings as a means both to symbolically reflect her inner world and honor the environment that makes her feel most alive.
Anna studied the Great Books at the University of Notre Dame, and has been painting since 2020. She now resides in NYC. Follow along with her journey on instagram, @annapcombes.
